A Glimpse of the Throne
Tonight, we continued to delve through the pages of Revelation, focusing on chapter 4—John’s vision of the throne room of God. April emphasized the contrast between the “goriness” of the earth, which we fear often, and the glory of heaven, in which we are free. Using rainbow imagery to describe the area around the throne of God, we realize God is too great to be described, even by someone who has seen him. At the end of the service, April leaves us with a question:
If John were to come see your life, who would be on your throne?
Ask yourself this and meditate on the glory of God and where that stands in your life. Next week, we’ll be looking at the Lamb.
